5.8.0 is the current version on all supported platforms.  The current
stable version is always available from

http://www.cpan.org/src/stable.tar.gz

Grab it, unzip and untar it, read the files called INSTALL and
README.tru64 and you should be on your way (assuming you have a C
compiler).

If you don't have a compiler, a quick web search shows that there are
various RPMs around.  It looks like there is a lot of general Tru64
news and such at <http://www.tru64.org/>.
