For your benefit and everyone else's I'd like to re-emphasize
that the "need" to issue the DCL copy command that I mentioned
yesterday only obtains when using recent perl 5.8.1 developer
snapshots. So far as I know the MakeMaker that shipped with say,
perl 5.8.0, did not necessarily require such a hack/workaround
(although perl 5.8.0 did require an addition to the main perl
descrip.mms_template so that headers got installed properly).
Before the final release of perl 5.8.1 we hope to have
ExtUtils::MakeMaker fixed for use on VMS once again.
