Please build early and often with all of your favorite
configurations, extensions, compiler and OS versions, etc.

Not yet addressed:

-- Unix-like inheritance of stdin in a piped subprocess doesn't work
quite right (Michael Downey's report and ensuing discussion).

-- File::Find gets lost when a directory name matches an existing logical name.

-- globbing of relative paths doesn't work when the path involves
ascending above the current directory ('./foo*' works but '../bar*'
doesn't).

-- Net::Ping now uses the unixy file locking features of fcntl on its
sockets, but these features aren't available on VMS. We need to
figure out if this locking is even necessary given the default file
open characteristics on VMS (are sockets also shr=nil by default?).

-- There are a lot of test failures on pre-7.0 Alphas and I have no
idea if any VAX builds have even been attempted recently.

-- other things?

We've seen partial solutions for the first two, partial in that they
solved the issue at hand but caused other test failures. If anyone
has the time and energy to address any of the above your efforts
would be appreciated. My schedule is in a bit of a downward spiral
right now so I may or may not get to any of it.
