Great! I look forward to trying it out. Unfortunately the last time that I
rsynced perl-5.8.x
I got an unbuildable tree for VMS (it probably had Solaris *.o files in a
dirty built directory).
By the way, Michael has already berated me for using such old out of date
development snapshots off list. Sheesh - try to bring a little _good_ news
about
the usefulness of your patch and look at the trouble I've caused ;-).
I'll also keep a sharp eye out for an RC3. At this point I count four
patches needed
for VMS to keep RC2 from running amok. That is a bit much to have to apply
by hand
IMO.
