I was growing tired of seeing 50+ test failures in blead on VMS, so I knocked out about half of them with the attached patch to Module::Pluggable, checked in as #30400. About a month ago I submitted the same patch to the Module::Pluggable RT queue at <http://rt.cpan.org/Public/Bug/Display.html?id=13607>, where there are more details about what was necessary and why. Tests now pass on VMS and still pass on OS X. Other platforms are as yet untested. I'm sure that if this breaks something or annoys someone, ya'll will let me know.
