Mike -- It sounds like they want "mod_perl", which would be the PERL plugin for Apache.
Do you have Apache installed? In any case, HP provides an (out of date) PERL version and an Apache module interface to it which has to match the version they provide. (In theory you could recompile the Apache module interface.) Look for CSWS_PERL and proceed from there. (In theory, although I haven't been able to make this work right, the adroit manipulation of the PERL_ROOT logical name should allow Apache to use the version that matches the Module while everybody else uses the most modern one you have installed.) -- alan
First of all, a disclaimer: I am new to the world of PERL. Also, since our layoffs, I am the defacto System Manager for our OpenVMS Alphas running V8.3.
We currently have PERL version 5.10 running.
Now I am being asked to install "perl_mod" which is apparently not there in our PERL version 5.10.
Does this mean that I have to reinstall PERL V5.10 again from scratch?
What else do you need to know from me to be able to answer my question.
