Hi,

I have been slogging through various VMS modules
which I am building on perl 5.10.0., VMS 8.3,
Alpha.

Is anyone using VMS::Persona? If not, I'll quit
here.

I've found a number of issues. After this module
was initially released by Dan Sugalski (before
2000), there have been some significant changes
to the way the VMS system services behave. The
3 services are

PERSONA_ASSUME
PERSONA_CREATE
PERSONA_DELETE

If anyone is actually using this xs module, then
I will be happy to dig into this and figure out
how to deal with the newer interpretation.

I've had a request or two to have it do things it can't. I started to look at it once and realized what you have, which is that the interfaces it depends on changed so radically that it really needs a redesign, not just a touch-up. If you have time to work on it, please do. Mark Daniels' mondesi package has up-to-date examples of calling these services:
