Rob:
Heya. It sounds to me like you're having trouble between
the "Default" password that VNC has, and the "per-user" password
that is also has. Honestly, it's a feature. :) That is, when
you installed VNC as Administrator and gave it a password, that
password is only valid when someone is logged in as Administrator.
You need to set the default password in a different manner, as
described here:
----------------------------
FLOYD RUSSELL'S GENERIC WIN2K VNC CONFIG PROCEDURE
1. Install VNC
2. Install VNC Service
3. Start->Programs->VNC->Run WinVNC(AppMode)
4. Enter your password, this is for the current user.
5. Start->Programs->VNC->Administrative Tools->Show Default Settings
6. Enter your password, this is for the local machine
7. Close WinVNC
8. Start WinVNC Service
----------------------------
Hope this helps!
