Hi!

I'm new to VNC. I used to use PCAnywhere on our LAN but to licensing and
various other issues I've removed this software from the system. Anyway,
I've put VNC on the system as a replacement and all-in-all I've been
relatively happy with it.

Our system is a SBS2000 server with a mix of Win98 and Win2K clients. I
have installed VNC server on all of the workstations. The Win2K clients
work faultlessly, however, the Win98 PC's seem to a problem retaning the
VNC Server password. Everytime a Win98 PC is booted VNC Server advises
the user that no valid password has been set up and the user is then
asked to set the password.

Is this a software 'feature' or is there a way that I can force the
Win98 clients to retain their server passwords?

Thanks

Neil
