I believe that as far as network requirements go your Exceed X server and
VNC are the same.  Both require a TCP/IP connection.  Is there something you
want that Exceed isn't giving you?  Over an Ethernet network connection I
believe that you would see better performance with Exceed than VNC because
Exceed sends less data.
