Hi,
I am using two versions of tightvnc to remotely login to a windows
2000 station from a windows xp station. Both show the same error,
which is why I post this message here: it is probably vnc-wide.

I use tightvnc 125 based on vnc 3.3.3.r9

When I use putty:
http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/
to telnet somewhere the remote xp system (with vnc viewer) does
not get its putty-window refreshed. When I move the cursor in the
vnc-viewer in/out of the putty-telnet box I am working in the screen
does refresh (but too late of course).

This does not happen when I use command line telnet in cmd.exe.
This is no solution because it happens in ssh too and putty is the
ssh-client on windows.

for instance I open a putty telnet to a local telnetserver:
192.168.1.23

I get a prompt with
user:
I then type my user id
Then the prompt on the real (vnc-server) system shows
pass:

But on the vnc-viewer it shows a new line that is blanc with a
cursor.

What could cause this? I tried all kinds of things in putty but could
not solve the problem.

any help would be greatly apreciated!

greetings

Hans-Cees
