No it wouldn't be a useful feature to bloat up VNC with it,
as any real OS supports print re-direction. There is no
need to duplicate services.

Same goes for file transfer. Or sound, or or or..

Will this basic thread of destroying what VNC is designed
for never end?

Its designed for MULITPLATFORM REMOTE CONTROL. Period.
Nothing more, nothing less. And does a good job of it as well.
