We have some Citrix Metaframe 1.8/WTs servers and are trying to set up
VNCViewer to connect to a Server running the server version of VNC. I have 2
questions.
1. As each user logging on to the Citrix server will be able to use VNC, do
they have to specify a display number for example if 2 users tried to VNC to
the same server from their Citrix desktop, would there be a clash/ if so how
do you specify a display number?
2. we are connecting via a firewall, and the VNC server on the destination
machine is using the default port 5900, and the firewall team tell me 5900
is allowed thru the firewall. I can connect to another server outside the
firewall, but when I try to connect to a server inside the firewall I get
nothing back. Any suggestions? I can ping the server behind the firewall, &
telnet to it.
