I know exactly what you mean - that feature is indeed gorgeous. However, it doesn't really strike me as something that VNC would require. eXceed uses the X desktop framework to provide the remote view whereas VNC is (correct me if I'm wrong) more concerned with giving the user a copy of the remote screen.
