Hi all,

I am running Real VNC 3.3.6 server on a Windows NT machine. I am trying to
connect to this machine using Real VNC vncviewer on a Windows XP Home
edition client. To connect to my corporate LAN, I need to use Secure
Remote. Once I connect to the corporate LAN I am able to ping the NT
machine just fine. However, when I start vncviewer I enter the password and
then I see the screen saying "Initial Screen Loading." This sticks around
for a while and then the vncviewer closes.

Looking at some of the recent postings to the mailing list I saw a
suggestion to delete from the registry
key_current_user/software/orl/winvnc3. I did this on the server and the
tried to connect again. This time I was able to connect, but after a few
minutes the vncviewer again crashed, and I was back at not being able to
connect again.

Has anybody seem this problem before and know how to get around it? Should
I try one of the other versions of VNC (i.e. TightVNC)? Any thoughts or
insight would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Jim
