Install only the server component on the users' PCs. Keep the viewer executable for only those who need it. In addition, set passwords and don't let the users know them.I want to implement RealVNC on a Help Desk so that my techs can access the PC's of remote users to troubleshoot. However, I don't want the users to have the ability to access other PC's. Is it possible to 'turn off' their access; that is, keep their server functionality while disabling their viewer functionality?
It's SSH, not SSL, and yes, it can be done. See the VNC website for more information. Also, can I run VNC through an SSL tunnel, and if so, where would I find resources on this subject?
