Very True,  scheduler is involved. Actually, I got it fixed and the
scripts all ran last night with no problems.  Thanks for your help:all.
i'm using the 'net stop winvnc" option.

Of course.  Since the original poster had said he wanted to change the
passwords weekly I assumed some form of scheduling would be used to make
that a non-issue.

It would be a PITA to log into a number of machines every week to change
the
VNC password.
