We have used VNC successfully on NT servers for a while. We recently upgraded one server to Windows 2000. We installed VNC as a service, just like we did with NT, following all of the instructions in the Documentation about running VNC as a service.
Nevertheless, after rebooting the server, at least one user must logon to the local machine in order for VNC to authenticate without error. Once one user has logged in, VNC works fine. We can find no other info to help us figure out what is wrong. If anyone has any idea of what we can do to remedy this problem, please email me at the address below.
