It sounds like you are describing bug 63853 which RH has fixed: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=63853 You can probably download the newer version from http://rpmfind.net , but be prepared to recompile from source if necessary. Another option would be to try RealVNC 3.3.6 or TightVNC 1.2.8: http://www.realvnc.com/download.html http://www.tightvnc.com/download.html Redhat's version I believe is based on an older version of RealVNC (version 3.3.3r2 to be precise) but with Tight encoding added.
