Have more info. 

The server is started using the -cc switch - -cc 3. When this switch is used
the server errors as below. Without it the server works fine. However we
need the switch due to applications requiring the colour depth set by the cc
switch. Any ideas what might prevent the server starting with this set? 

The issue has only arisen recently. A user had previously seen the problem
on his own Sun box, but was fine on the main server - now he gets it on
both. I am trying to find out if any patches have been applied that may have
caused this. Also, I am not sure if input locales on the server would
prevent VNC starting with the -cc switch. I would really appreciate any
insight anyone may have into this issue.
