Hi,

I have since some days a problem with vnc on a windows98 machine.

I used vnc 3.3.3r9 to connect from a windows xp to a windows 98 machine (same version
on both sides) without any problem - until...
...I putted the PC to another place (connected still to the same switch) and made some
small changes including changing the mouse (from Microsoft to Logitech...).

Now I have a problem: I can only connect to the Windows98 machine with disabled
inputs. If I don't disable my inputs, the vnc server crashes (protection fault in
user.exe) in 0 ... 8 seconds after establishing the connection. It doesn't matter
whether I'm connecting from a Windows XP or W2k machine. My feeling is, that the
Logitech mouse is the reason for the crash. I tried:
- newest mouse driver
- vnc 3.3.3r9
- vnc 3.3.4
- vnc 3.3.7
- vnc 4.0b3.
but without success.

Is there a change to solve this problem without killing the mouse (I like the logitech
mouse's, up to now ot least). Any hints what I can do?

Thanks in advance.

Thomas.-
