Hello I am new to VNC, but the RFB protocol appears to be just the kind of thing I am looking for.
I am working on an application with a 16-bit microprocessor running @ 20MHz driving an LCD display . We are attempting provide a feature whereby the display can be emulated remotely on a PC. RFB looks ideal with the exception that it is designed for thin clients (thick servers). If I understand correctly, the server (our 16-bit processor) would be required to have knowledge of all of the encoding methods. Does anyone know whether it is possible to streamline the RFB protocol for execution on a 16-bit processor? Perhaps by making a concession and just adopting a single encoding format. Code space and processor bandwidth come at a premium. Any ideas and/or comment would be much appreciated.
