Thanks for the reply William.

I've tried to connect to http://myhost:5806 and after about a minute I get
an error message about "Cannot find server".
To avoid issues with the DNS I've also used the URL in the connection to the
host like
http://123.456.789.0:5806 with no success.

I have a web server running om myhost and I can connect to http://myhost:80
with no problems.
Again if I connect to http://myhost:5906, at least it respond back with 'RFB
003.003'.
Useless, but a response never the less.

I'm a bit lost here....

Cheers,
Frits.

You are missing the documentation:
http://www.realvnc.com/javavncviewer.html

"The server listens for HTTP connections on port 5800+display number. So
to view display 2 on machine 'snoopy', you would point your web browser
at:
http://snoopy:5802/
The applet will prompt you for your password, and should then display the
desktop."

You need to connect to http://myhost:5806.
