The problem there would be one of network traffic. I don't want a screengrab to be taken unless it is requested, since a lot of classes are well behaved, and we don't monitor activity during lunch.
Anyway, eventually I'm planning to integrate other VNC features, such as locking out the computer. Also, the program runs perfectly with WinVnc servers installed, so I don't want to start again. I'm just puzzled as to what's different with Ultra VNC. >===== Original Message From "Seak, Teng-Fong" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> ===== > The idea's marvelous. Actually, if you don't need to get control of your pupil's computer, maybe you could do this in another way, but I'm afraid that would take quite a bit long to implement it. > > My idea is to install a screen-capture software in every computer. Then using schedule of every computer to make a screen-shot at regular interval and put the file in a share directory. Then your teacher's computer randomly chooses a pupil computer and gets the screen shot from its share directory and display it. > >> -----Message d'origine----- >> De : matt [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] >> Envoyi : vendredi 31 octobre 2003 10:41 >> @ : [EMAIL PROTECTED] >> Objet : Ultra VNC protocol differences? >> >> >> I work in a school and we want to be able to deter pupils >> from doing non-work >> related internet stuff during their lessons.
