it seems video overlay is not supported by VNC...
if it has to send that much data, why not put it on a streaming server?

for Windows there is a free program for it, on the Media Player pages...
sounds weird, free and Microsoft, but it does work well

Pinnacle PCTV is Magenta also, while media player is dark green :-)

Try a different tuner.  My ATI shows up as Magenta.
