I've been searching through the list in hope to find something about keyboardlayouts that might solve my problem, but with no luck.

You see I've installed the VNC server on a W2K computer, and I am currently running the viewer on another W2K computer (a Toshiba laptop with it's own keyboard layout)

Now, since I am a Norwegian my keyboards have some Norwegian characters on them.

I've noticed that some of these issues have been adressed previously, but I can't seem to find my problem in the list. (Or any solution that doesn't involve coding and compiling my own version of VNC)

What I think is my problem is that the Keyboardlayout (Keyboard 00000414 according to connection info) is not mapped to the correct characters in the VNCviewer.

The viewer does not send fxe (..., o-slash, a-ring) to the server ...
Actually several of the other keys are not mapped correctly either.

Has anybody been able to send international characters from the client at all??
And how did you do it?

If a nationalized version of VNC is my medicine, do any of you have a suggestion?

Regards

Jon Leirdal

PS: English is not my native language so please excuse any typos and grammatical errors :DS
