I should've been a little more clear in my message. This is for a development & test environment only. I'd understand if it was technically impossible. Just wondering if it is.
Thanks. -----Original Message----- From: Tristan Richardson [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Wednesday, November 12, 2003 11:32 AM To: Bryan Berkowitz; [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: VNC 4.0 beta on Trusted Solaris 8 Sounds like the whole point of Trusted Solaris is to stop things like VNC. I doubt it will be possible to run an x0vncserver on this box unless you replace its X server with an ordinary Solaris X server (thereby reducing the security of the system). They've taken out the XTest extension from the X server, which means there's no way for x0vncserver to inject mouse or keyboard events. I wouldn't be surprised if they've also stopped the XGetImage call from working, so there's no way to get the screen image.
