Hello Experts,

I know allot of people use VNC from their PDA's to their PC's, so I was
hoping for some pointers.

I got VNC to run from my Jornada 680 HPC (Windows CE 2.11 SH3) to my work
machine (Win 98),
the only problem I am having is the way my tapping on the screen of the PDA
seems to affect
my PC. When I move the pointer from one part of the screen to another it
frequently selects all the
text in between, as if I was holding the left mouse button down on the host
PC while moving the mouse.
I think that since I don't have a mouse on the handheld it sees me as
dragging the pointer from one part of the screen to the other instead of
just magically relocating the it.
This has lead to all sorts of problems. Also, if I right click (and
sometimes even if I don't), wherever I move my mouse after that still brings
up the right click menu. I try to click elsewhere on the screen to kill the
right click thing,
like you would on the desktop and it just right clicks where I tap. When I
do succeed in killing the right
click thing, it is usually back to the left click thing.

Does anybody know if there is a way to stop this? Either something I can do
on my handheld to not send
the right/left click signals to the PC, or a way of disabling the ability to
hold down those buttons
on the PC. Maybe just a better way of tapping or moving the pointer? In the
properties on the server I have tried disabling
the keyboard and pointer on the PC (which does nothing), and disabling the
keyboard and pointer to the remote unit (which does just that, rendering it
useless).

On the HPC I am using vnc-3.3.2beta_sh3_wince_2.0, and on the PC I am using
WinVNC 3.3.7

Thanks in advance,
Mike.

P.S.

If you are using a Jornada 680, win CE, SH3 etc... here is where I found VNC
for it:
