Hi again, thanks for all the help in the past from various people. My problem is very simple, I wish to control my old Win98 PC from my new WinXP without a screen or keyboard attached to my old PC (I have not got the space for the two sets). Both PCs are interconnected via the 10/100 LAN of a Netgear ADSL/Wireless router. I am about to install (for the first time ever) VNC Server V4.0 in Service - Mode on a PC running Win98 and VNC V4.0 Viewer on a PC running WinXP. In this very simple configuration can I assume that default settings of both VNC applications will be sufficient for Viewer to be able to connect to the Server without any further input other than the IP address of the Server PC?
