This is non servix pack 2 with firewall off and no external firewall. I can
ping from the local segment but not from the internet which is fine, I can
FTP to the system VIA the internet so I even tried to set the VNC port to 21
and same deal, when I hover the mouse over the tray icon it says not
accepting connections.

If you this is XP Pro and you have SP2 installed, the Windows firewall is on
automatically and it may be stopping your port traffic. Can you ping the VNC
server? Can you Telnet to the port?

So I did a search and did not find anything on this topic as such,. I run a
ton of instances of different VNC clients all over my network. 1 WXP pro
system on a HP laptop gives me issues. No matter what version of VNC I use
it always say not accepting connections, im not sure how to fix this. I
change ports, and same deal. Un install , re install reboot , blah blah
blah. Not sure what the issue is.
