I had our Europe uninstall version 4.0. I had them recheck the services
running on the Windows NT Server. There was still a separate VNC Service
running. They stopped the service and removed the realvnc folder.

I had them reinstall the RealVNC 4.0 and set the password and I have been
able to connect to our Europe office.

The issue was that there was an older version running even though we
installed version 4.0. Of course no one seems to remember ever install VNC
prior to now.

Thanks for the comments and ideas to resolve this issue.

Michael,

Firstly, RFB 003.003 is not the standard response you'd expect from VNC
Server 4, unless it has been run with the Protocol3.3 flag set. So it
sounds as though you have installed something other than VNC Server 4 on
their NT 4 server.

Cheers,

Wez @ RealVNC Ltd.
