Dear sirs,
I am using RealVNC 3.3.7 (I do know there's a version 4, but I find the
configuration of version 3.3.7 easier)
I use the program to connect to my work computer through a VPN tunnel on my
notebook, and this works fine
Now I am trying the opposite : to go from work to home (which is not the same
computer and interent connection as my notebook)
When I do give the IP adress I get prompted for the pasword, and once entered
I get the "VNC screen" with the correct computers name but there's only a
black screen. I can only see my cursor move. What is wrong ? I do suppose it
is the firewall of the compagny.
This is the information
home PC : Windows XP SP1 with 2 users on a cable connection running RealVNC
3.3.7
work PC : A Windows98SE which goes through the firewall with ports 5800 till
5999 open for outgoing traffic (I had only port 5800 and 5900 open before, but
expanded the range because it didn't work). The firwall (firegard 500 uses the
WatchGuard software)
Another thing (although I don't think it's usefull) : using RealVNC in the
intranet works fine

Regards,

Dr. A. Derom
