Damn! I believe you are right! Thanks William!

This isn't confusing at all! vnc.so from Realvnc, vnc.so from xf4vnc,
tightvnc, RealVNC, x11vnc, Xvnc .. all with the same binary names .. ..
.. ACK! I wish they would have named it xf4vnc.so instead of vnc.so.

Any hints as to what I should look for to help me know if my vnc.so is
from RealVNC4 or xf4vnc? I know what it is now through much trial and
error and William, but if in doubt what should I look at? There is not
a package called xf4vnc on any of these SuSE boxes. The vnc.so is being
bundled as part of the XFree4 rpm packages, the Xvnc binary is in the
xorg-x11-Xvnc package and the session based scripts and client binaries
(vncpasswd, vncserver, etc.) are part of the tightvnc package. <sigh>

Taking a WAG, I would say that you are trying to configure xf4vnc, not
RealVNC.

http://xf4vnc.sourceforge.net/doc.html

The RealVNC documentation works fine for me with FC3.
