1) I see your point, but it's just as easy to do the redirection on the
router as it is to do it on the command-line, I would think...
2) Again, a good point, but in my (admittedly limited) experience, it's hard
to find a router that can't do selective port forwarding/redirection. I've
had two different DSL/Cable routers and both have been capable of
redirecting port x to port y on a different computer.
My intent was to suggest that if you are having problems, maybe it would
work better if you'd change the port in the router, instead of on the
server.
