Hi folks,

I'm using Windows XP Pro (sp2), and I repeatedly receive the message
"Connection closed unexpectedly" when trying to connect to a friend's
Windows 98 SE box. (This is via the Internet, not LAN.) I've used
defaults on the server and viewer on both machines, as well as
experimenting with most of the other settings. No luck.

The weird thing is: When I run VNC Server 4.1.1, she's able to use
Viewer 4.1.1 to connect to me with no problems.

My box:
XP Pro (SP2), connected to Internet via cable modem (Cox Cable, So. California).
VNC Viewer 4.1.1
DHCP assigned IP config
Firewall disabled
All privacy and viruscan services turned off

My friend's:
Win 98SE, connected via cable modem (Road Runner Svc. in New York, USB
connection from PC to modem)
DHCP assigned IP
VNC Server 4.1.1, using VNC Password Auth.
Firewall, privacy and anti-virus turned off.

Any ideas as to why the Server running on 98 keeps closing my connection?

Thanks in advance for your assistance.
