yes, that would be acceptable if i could run a certain script at logon and than 
at logoff which would change the resolutions on the server.
As a matter of fact I'm sure that there are multiple utils which will allow me
to change resolutions. But how do i get a program to run at logon and then 
logoff 
with realvnc. Checked out ultravnc and it doesn't seem to have the 
functionality either.

there is noway to do that for now. (I don't know any)

Maybe it could be added to the whish list anyway...
More generally, both a "logon-script" and a "logoff-script" could be
launched where the administrator could do any task treating the two
events...
