You say it's not behind a firewall. How is it connected to the internet? Is the server on a DSL/Cable connection? If so, the modem is probably a modem/router so you don't have the "true" IP address. Keep in mind that ANY 192.168.x.x and 10.x.x.x IP is NOT routeable and will not be reachable from the internet.
