I was having some problems accessing a computer using the Viewer. After
reading some of the threads on the message board, I went to Control
Panel/Windows Firewall and set Firewall protection to OFF.

Doing that, I was able to access the remote computer. So, it was a Firewall
issue.

However, permanently leaving the firewall OFF does not sound like a good
idea.

So, here's the issue. I would like minimal protection. All my machines are
XP (SP2). On the computer(s) in question, assume I have NO router. I bought
the VNC license. I don't want to go overboard with security but enough to
protect me at a minimum with the ability to use VNC. What do you all
recommend in terms of security levels? Please advise. Thanks in advance.
