Nope. You can't have different "screen numbers" on Windows the way you can in *nix. However, you should be able to force the color depth lower in the client to speed things up a bit.

I'm connecting a Jornada 820 to a W2KServer, and it's unusably slow. Is there a way to connect so that the client can get a smaller screen size and depth? My administrator setting is 1280x1024/32bit and I can't/won't drop to 640x480/8bit. Different W2K users can't have independent screen characteristics (it appears). Does the "screen number" provide a solution? I tried setting the client to a different number, and it fails to connect. _______________________________________________ VNC-List mailing list [email protected] To remove yourself from the list visit: http://www.realvnc.com/mailman/listinfo/vnc-list _______________________________________________ VNC-List mailing list [email protected] To remove yourself from the list visit: http://www.realvnc.com/mailman/listinfo/vnc-list
