(i have installed realvnc server after uninstalling uvnc). it is working fine on a LAN. But when i try to use it via internet i get error messages. Because of the server is far from me, my friend configured it. changed 2 options : password (set a new password) , port numbers (not used any other application) . and the server giving an answer when i telnet these ports. (so the server is running). why realvnc rejects the client ? (VNC Free Edition 4.1) (versions : VNC Free Edition 4.1, server win2000 srv, client win 2000 pro.) Thanks. Fatih Olcer. It sounds like you're mixing UltraVNC at one end with standard VNC at the other, which may not work because UltraVNC isn't fully compatible with the standard releases.
