It's only a few machines locally. I attribute it to problems on those
particular machines, not with VNC in general, as VNC in general works very
well here. I have a couple VERY busy, VERY underpowered servers which I have
to manually force the color depth down in the viewer and manually select the
encoding (i.e. ZRLE) in order to get any responsiveness from. Strangely
enough, these machines are running TightVNC server on Windows 2000 Server.
I've got a Windows NT DC which is VERY snappy and responsive, even though
it's just a single-processor PC. As I said I think it's mainly dependant on
the machines workload, not on VNC.
