There is a way to start VNC from xinetd. I've never done it, but it can be
done. Also, it's a well known fact that KDE and Gnome don't like to have the
same user logged in multiple times. Just FYI. :-)

Yes, VNC is actually installed on my server.

I found in a log file that when I try to open a vnc session, kdm throw
a sig 11 (segmentation fault)

I think this bug can be hard to track down for a newb like me.

I found a work around to my problem, I use x11vnc to open a session to
the display :0 (The console's display)
