Julie,

I'm not sure since this is a list for RealVNC and not TightVNC. I've never
used TightVNC myself, but in RealVNC there is an option in the viewer (hit
F8 to pull up a menu) to selectively accept mouse/keyboard movements from
the server. It's very possible that disabling all inputs on the viewer may
still not ignore touchscreen inputs from the monkeys however.

Regards,

Arthur

Subject: Can we "ignore" the actions on a server touchscreen?

Hi,

I am using thight-VNC to control a computerized testing system for monkeys.
During cognitive testing, the monkeys interact with a touchscreen to get
rewards. However, when we are working on the monkey-computer, to change the
program for instance, the monkeys touch the screen and mess up things! Is
there a way to block the actions on the server, so that the touchscreen is
ignored? (there is such an option in PCanywhere, but we prefer VNC).

Thanks
Julie
