I'm running Solaris 9, and VNC Free Edition 4.1.1, without any problems. I connect fine from Windows to Solaris as well as from Solaris to Windows. I even tried to connect from Windows to Solaris, and then connect back from Solaris to my Windows machine - although the effect was something strange (you know, like a camera looking at the monitor that shows image from that camera ;-)), but it worked. Packages have been installed as root, and I run them both as root and as a regular user. The server even works as "nobody" in inetd mode. Maybe if you have a bit older system, like Solaris 8, you should give an older version of VNC a try - maybe the newest version is just incompatible with older Solaris. Some years ago I installed VNC 3.3.2r3 on Solaris 2.5.1 and it works fine until now... Regards, Jaroslaw Rafa [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- Spam, wirusy, spyware... masz do6f?
