I think my question is slightly different than saving the password. I
do not want to save the password in a file. When I launch vncviewer,
it should ask me for the password. And then I enter the password.
Vncviewer makes the connection to the server. Now, say that for some
reason the network connection is removed (say I suspend and resume my
laptop). When the network connection is restored, vncviewer on Windows
is smart enough to ask

"Do you wish to reconnect?"

If I say yes, vncviewer automatically reconnects to the vnc server. I
do not need to type in the password *second* time.

On Linux, there is no way to achieve the similar behavior. Since I
move with my laptop from one meeting to another all the time during
the day (doing suspend/resume each time) - I currently have to type in
password every time. I wish there was Windows like behavior where I
had to type in the password only the first time vncviewer started.

thanks,
Osho
