I am using the free edition and i just installed the viewer. I have a host file that works fine with my other programs (ftp, etc) but i cannot get it to work with VNC. my partner has vnc on his pc and the host file works fine. I have tried with the just downloading the viewer, and then downloading the package and installing only the viewer.
