I have ideas. I almost have it working. Please read my post titled

It outlines all steps I've taken so far to get the login. Unfortunately,
noone has been able to help me with my last hurdle. Not even IBM!!!

That correct. Thanks for telling me what your using.
I didn't have the luxury of building the make on this
system. Now that I now what works and what doesn't.
Any idea on my CDE loggin screen problem.

So you are saying that the compile fails with v 3.78.1 of
Gnu make? I am using 3.79 and it works fine.
