I've just recently entered the world of Palm computing and have run
across rave reviews of Palm VNC. So I followed the links, got the
Palm side software and the Win-Server side software but now I'm
wondering if it can even do what I've gotten the impression that VNC
can do.
First, can I set it up so that I can remotely dial into my Win98
machine (like Laplink), and then the host would recognize the call as
a data call and answer. Or, does it have to be connected to the
internet already in order to use VNC?
Second, will I be able to control software on the host machine such
as my accounting software (peachtree), and if so, to what extent?
Am I just dreaming that I might be able to get this type of remote
control working on a Palm? Any advice will be greatly appreciated!
