When I connect to VNC it freezes after painting about 1/4 of the screen. It starts again after about 10 seconds. From that point on it freezes, (that is, stops responding to input and stops drawing the screen) for 10-20 seconds, every 10-20 seconds. The client seems okay, 'cause the little dot keeps moving with the mouse. When this happens, SSH and HTTPS (and presumably everything else) stops responding (at least from the host I am on to the server.) then "catches up" as soon as that 10-20 seconds pass. All other services work fine at all other times. (the system is used for HTTP, HTTPS, SMTP, SSH quite regularly, if not heavly.) This is over 100mbit Ethernet, but I am NATed behind a PIX. System is a "homebuilt" PII 400 w/ 256M and 2 IDE HDDs and a Linksys NIC. It runs RedHat Linux 6.2 (patched up.)
