I have seen messages about the "Connection Closed" issues here before, but
none that occurred in a situation like ours.
We provide networking for a hospital radiology system in which x-ray images
can be viewed on IBM PC's throughout the sites.
We can VNC into most computers without any problems. When we attempt to VNC
into a computer using dual Barco monitors (diagnostic grayscale portrait
monitors), we get a "Connection Closed" message as soon as the password is
entered. We do have connectivity because if the wrong password is entered, it
does return a bad password message.
The computers are IBM Pent 866 running NT workstation and gobs of resources.
The video card used is the Barco video adapter supplied with the dual
monitors.
We also have computers with dual IBM Color monitors using a Matrox G-400 dual
monitor adapter. We can VNC into these computers without any difficulty.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!
